t was a great weekend for our 12 & Under teams with the Girls team progressing to the National Finals and the Boys team winning their group.
12 & Under Boys

Team Noah Alexandru, Samuel De Lange, Emile Deveraux-Kelly, Max Heaton, Aidan Thayer and Ethan Whittle.
Our Boys team started the Saturday morning in Chesterfield against Derbyshire with a strong 5-1 win after some great battling displays in tough situations from the boys. The team then went on to play South Wales on Sunday morning, a tie that was even at 2-2 after the singles and then 3-3 after the doubles! It was down to a match shoot out to decide the winner, it was Lancashire who came out victorius. Finally the boys played Gloucestershire who had also won all their matches. Again a 2-2 score after the singles with 2 tough match tie break loses for Emile and Noah, this time however the boys battled to win the 2 doubles in match tie breaks securing a 4-2 win meaning they finish top of table and are crowned Group 2b winners!

12 & Under Girls

Team Naimah Grant, Leslieba Inko-Tariah, Annabel Jackson, Naina Kapoor & April Sackflame
The Girls team were in Play Group 1a, which meant that if they won they gained a place in the finals which was to be in Nottingham later this month. It was going to be a tough ask with hampshire & IOW, Warwickshire and Yorkshire as our opponents.
First up was Warwickshire where the girls started really well winning 6-0. Next up Hampshire & IOW who proved tougher oppositions with 1 singles match lost on a match tie break and one won on a match tie break, well done Naimah! The score was 2-2 after the singles, a dominant doubles display from Naina and Leslieba put us in front 3-2 followed up by a 3 set with from Annabel and Naimah to clinch the match 4-2.
The final match on Sunday was us against Yorkshire on their home turf in Sheffield. 3-1 up after the singles the girls continued their strong doubles performances with 2 match tie break wins, Lancashire were through to the finals!!
