It was a tough weekend for our 11 & Under Boys team who battled to try and join our Girls team in the LTA County Cup National Finals.

Team Noah Alexandru, Lucas Frost, Max Heaton, Rafe McMillan and Ethan Whittle
The team started their trip to Stourbridge on the Friday night with most of boys slightly apprehensive as this was their first trip away without their parents. The boys enjoyed their evening and started well on the Saturday with a strong 5-1 win over Oxfordshire despite a long rain delay. The team then went on to play West of Scotland and were level at 2-2 after the singles, 2 tough doubles matches later saw a match tie break win and a match tie break loss for the boys meaning it was still a draw 3-3. Not be for Lancashire losing the match shoot out after having 2 match points. A tough loss but a great learning experience for the team. Sunday saw the teams last match against Warwickshire which was set to be another battle with 6 tie breaks in total ending up with a 3-3 score and another shoot out which Lancashire went on to win. A very tight weekend of results saw the boys narrowly miss out on the National Finals finishind 2nd behind West of Scotland.
