Our 14 & Under Girls had a great weekend at the County Cup National Finals after qualifying at Holcombe Brook at the end of April. The event saw the top 8 Counties compete in 2 round robin boxes.

14 & Under Girls

Team               Haniya Arien, Naina Kapoor, Mariam Meftah, Elizabeth Rimmer, Mia Tinsley and Zara Todd.

The team travelled down to Nottingham on Thursday evening knowing that the competition was going to be tough. Their match match on Friday morning against Hertfordshire, the eventual Runners Up provided this after a 0-6. Next up was Dorset which saw is split the singles and doubles ties leaving a score of 3-3, a match shoot out, not to be for Lancashire, we lost. Our final match in the round robin box saw us take on Middelsex, anothe strong side a 1-5 loss for Lancashire. Sunday the final day we took on Suffolk to battle it out for 7/8th place, but unfortunately not to be. A great learning experience for all the team, well done girls.
