Well done to our 10 & Under Girls & Boys County Cup teams who took part in the LTA events last weekend. 

10 & Under Girls Team - Captain Sarah Hillier , Assistant Laura Hardman

Players - Raheli Adhikari, Mollie Cui, Sienna Dowd, Fleur Foulkes & Deborah Longe

The girls took the trip to Carlisle on Friday and were raring and ready to go on Saturday morning taking on West of Scotland first. The girls started strongly with the score 3-1 Lancashire after the singles. The team then played Cumrbia racing to a 4-0 lead. The West of Scotland doubles followed with Lancashire winning one and loosing one on a match tie break to finish with  a 4-2 win. 

Sunday morning saw the girlst take a on competitive Isle of Man team, Lancashire started strong winning all 4 singles. Next up was singles against North of Scotland where the girls also won 4-0. The girls knew they had qualified for the National Finals but still kept their concentration to win al the remaining dubles matches against Isle or Man and North of Scotland. 

Well done to the girls and their parents who head to the National Finals - North at Bidston Tennis Centre next month.

10 & Under Boys Team - Captain Callum Baddeley , Assistant Chris Ablewhite

Players -  Eden Anders, Dexter Lee, Luca Preston, James Sharrock, Stefan Wierszyllowski and Olafs Zvaigznitis.

The boys arrived at Dumfries Tennis Club on Friday and made a strong start on Saturday morning with a 5-1 win against East of Scotland. The boys then went on to play South of Scotland with another srtong 6-0 perforamnce. 

The team carried their strong perforamnce through to Sunday with a 6-0 win agaist North of Scotland knowing that the West of Scotland the last team they play would be their strongest comptition.  TLancashire were 3-1 up after the singles knowing that they needed to 1in 1 out of the 2 doubles left to progress to the finals. THe boys not content with winning 1 won both doubles to clinch 1st place with a 5-1 scoreline. 

Well done to the boys and their parents who head to the National Finals - North at Boston Tennis Centre, Lincolnshire next month.
