Well done to the Lancashire 11 & Under Boys and Girls County Cup teams who competed in Cumbria and Lancashire at the weekend.

11 & Under Boys Team - Captain Jack Heyworth, Assistant Ben Obong

Players - Jude Cockcroft, Max Dutton,, Samuel Ormesher, Charlie Oyuang, Samson Sparrow and Sam Wong.

The boys travelled to Chatsowrth Tennis Club, Cumbria on Friday night ahead of their fixtures against Durham & Cleveland and South of Scotland on Saturday in Group 2b. The boys had a great start winning both fixtures 6-0 losing only 2 sets of tennis.

On Sunday the boys played Isle of Man and Cumbria again winning 6-0 in each fixtures. It was a great weekend for the boys who competed with great team spirit. A great weekend.

11 & Under Girls Team - Captain Janelle Brooks, Assistant Rachel McCrae

Players - Lyla Davis, Jia Kochhar, Kendra Olowu, Ellie Stickland and Luciana Trivino.        

The 11 & Under girls were playing on home soil at Holcombe Brook Sports Club. Saturday saw the girls take on a very trong Durham & Cleveland team who the team lost 2-4 to. Durham & Cleveland went on to win the group and qualify for the National Finals. 

On Sunday the girls started against local rivals Yorkshire with a strong 4-2 win with some good tennis on show. This meant the girls finished second in their box so played Derbyshire next to decide who finished 3rd/4th in the group. Lancashire were 1-3 down after the singles but won both the doubles to tie the rubber at 3-3. A doubles match shoot out to 10 points took place to decide who won the rubber, Derbyshire won this so the Lancashire girls teams finished in 4th place.
