There was success at the recent British Open Seniors Indoor Tennis Championships last week with numerous players from Lancashire entering in both singles and doubles events from 35 & Over to 85 & Over.

Tom Baron played in both the  85 & Over Singles and Doubles events, after a straight forward first match win in their round robin box Tom and his partner Gordon clinched the title in a nail biting 6-0, 3-6 ,10-8 win on Tuesday afternooon. Peter Bretherton also played in both the 75 & Over Singles and Doubles events, winning the doubles title with his parnter John Andrews 6-2, 6-4 after a nail bitting match tie break win in the semi-finals.

Gill Brown played in the Ladies 45 & Over Singles event winning 2 matches, one against fellow Lancastrian Jan Mort before loosing in the final in 3 tight sets.
