14 & Under Girls County Cup Report

Team:   Niamh Grant, Leslieba Inko-Tariah,  April Sackflame, Ruby Williams and Daisy Wootton.

The Girls made the trip to Nottingham on Thursday ready for a early start on Friday with Cambridgeshire the first oppoistion. After some great singles battles and losing a tight 12-10 match tie break doubles match the teams were tied on 3-3, this means a 10 point doubles shoot out to decide the winner! Lancs clinched it and therefore the win. Next up the team took on a strong Surrey team and lost 0-6, Surrey went on to win it! Saturday saw another close battle in the summer sun against Hertfordshire with Lancs winning both doubles rubbers on match tie breaks to secure the tie 4-2 and seal 2nd place in Group A. 

On Sunday the team took on the 2nd place in Group B, Essex for the 3rd/4th place. The Essex team was too strong and we lost out 2-4. A great weekend from the girls and captains.
