Bolton Arena was the host of the first Four Nations Senior Championships for the 70's & 75's age groups at the end of November. The event which saw England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland battle it out for the title with each fixture comprising of a Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
The England team captained by Lancashire's very own Christine Baron composed of players from across the country had a great start with the 70's team beating Ireland 3-0 and the 75's team, including Christine beating them 2-1. Saturday saw the teams take on Wales., with the English teams both winning again.
Sunday, the final day saw the 70's team beat Scotland 2-1 to claim the title of National Four Nations Champions!
The 75's team knew they had a tough day ahead with the Scottish Women's doubles pairing being very strong and they were right. This followed by a tight 3 set loss to Scotland in the Men's Doubles saw England finish runners up.
