From his time as a successful player within the County, he transitioned himself into a well-respected and diligent volunteer and official both, within Lancashire and the wider British tennis landscape. Never been just a figurehead but instead his involvement has always been thorough and forward looking and Tennis Lancashire is indebted to his many years of service in the many positions he has held. Sandi also presented a Meritorius Service Award, the highest LTA Award to Mike McBrien . Mike is known throughout Lancashire and further afield as someone with a deep love of tennis, who is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and always available to help in any way he can. He will be sorely missed when he steps down as Chairman of Lancashire at the end of the financial year, and we in the County wish him every happiness in his retirement. (see picture below)
