Following on from recent government announcements which means that both Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire will be in Tier 4 from Boxing Day I wanted to advise of the impact to all members across the two counties.
From Boxing Day the following is the only social tennis allowed under the Tier 4 rules at Thame Tennis Club and applies to members in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire:
Singles only - (other than from within the same household/bubble)
(Outdoor tennis courts can remain open for individual exercise, and for people to use with others within your household, support bubble, or with one person from another household).
In addition - I would also ask that we revert to the practice from earlier in the year of each player bringing and marking their own balls to reduce/remove the risk of any transmission via the tennis ball.
