Absolutely nothing to report this week but we still have to have something in case someone reaches terminal boredom and needs to get away from the TV Christmas schedules and UTube just doesn’t hit the spot. Photo: Leon C and his Band at Heartbreakers.
I had a lovely day out in London on Wednesday: I managed to reach my destination to see my son and his offspring and wife. Managed to do the reverse journey without mishap too except I did learn that the rail off-peak period has been shortened considerably.
Highlight of the week must have been the gig on Saturday at Heartbreakers in which Leon was joined by his “Band”: his stand-in bass player did a fantastic job and the drummer was to die for: the applause at the end of an absolutely fantastic set did justice to their joint efforts. I hear that there are some videos that may be posted on the Leon C Music website so try to take a look if you can sometime in the week: it is an open FB account so anyone can gain access and “Like” the site.
I have noticed an increase in cut trees in people’s houses plus the efforts of some people to bolster the profits of the electricity providers so assume that Christmas must be approaching: maybe that is why Leon is home. I am planning a simple meal if I can ever ramp up my enthusiasm for the event by Tuesday. With a grown child in the house the efforts have declined so it is really whether or not things will change when we have young visitors at Christmas time in a few years from now.
Next Week: Tuesday December 25th: Christmas Day. Wednesday December 26th: Boxing Day (Pantomime in the evening for Leon and I). Then it is all systems go to prepare for New Year.
