Thornden was well represented at the County Championships last week including  men's and ladies finalists Mats and Magda and men's doubles winners Jin and Mats.  Marcin and Arjun  played a lot of tennis including against each other! Lena, Mia and Zayan played really well as did past members Freddie Swain and Alek Kudla. The referee was blessed with a week of good weather.

In other news, our Apsley A team managed wins agains Swanmore A and Bassett A - both really good matches and closer than the 8 - 0 and 7 -1 score lines suggest. 

Our Apsley B team has a  final match on Saturday at home - they are currently 4th in Div 1 so mid table and safe. 

The Winter Fixtures meeting took place last night- it would have been complete chaos if it wasn't for Steve and Christine's  excellent pre-prepared  spreadsheets! We picked up 4 shields from winning  ladies div 2, Men's div 6 and Mixed div 1 and 4 .
