We hosted Lee on Solent at home for an Apsley A match on Saturday. No youngsters in our ladies side today - all mums -Abby, Inger, Jackie and Frankie - 2 of them stepping in last minute .T hank you Inger and Jackie. The boys -James, Harry and Mats did have youth on their side with only Paul Scullard pushing up the average age! We didn't know what standard of team Lee would be sending over as they are quite new to the Premier so we were very happy to manage a 5-3 win with none of our usual A team ladies available. Great scores especially for mother /son combo  Harry and Jackie who's win really made the difference.

On Sunday, our men  - pictured - were away to Denmead A - quite a trek. A couple of our men did the double playing both days (Harry and Mats). Both of Denmead's pairs were both strong and it turned out to be  a tight match,  Thornden  scraping a  3-1  win with the help of a 3rd set tiebreak!  Milan and Joe had some cracking rallies, displaying every shot in the book!
