We decided to chance the weather on Saturday  and completed our friendly away mixed  match v Waterside without getting too drenched. We were  almost  blown away in the process but that is what happens when you're by the coast . Inger and Harry were on top form and breezed past the 1s 0 and 0 whilst Nigel and Frankie got their moneys worth against the 2s winning 4 and 4. Harry and Inger were also storming through their match against the 2s until a stray shot hit Inger on the ear  which caused a knock to their concentration but still a 6-1 7-5 win (aided by an ice pack)  Meanwhile Nigel and Frankie were 5-1 up in the 1st and managed to lose 7-6  4-6 ! Definitely making up for lack of tennis by trying to get in as many games as possible in 2 matches!  They were friendly opposition and it was good to be out in the weather. Sad to see the old Esso clubhouse bulldozed down. 3-1 win overall.
