Junior Tennis -
Full court tennis, with players having the option of individual, shared or group lessons. Players are encouraged to play and train more than once a week - the results of this make a huge difference.
Lessons are a mixture of basket drills, conditioned point, match practise, with serves and returns involved as often as possible.
Technical input is based upon tactical intentions and decision making is a large part of the learning process.
Hard work and the ability to learn from mistakes or defeats is integral to the players development.
Matchplays and practise sets against other groups are arranged regularly and many clubs enter junior teams in local leagues.
Tom Carlton Tennis work closely with Performance Centres at Maidstone and Canterbury, for those players (and parents!) wishing to dedicate more time to tennis.
For older juniors wishing to start playing tennis, there are beginners groups available at various venues.
