What can you expect?
At the Red stage, children practice to serve (with an overarm throw) rally, and learn to play points. Coaches will help children to develop adaptive skills, coordination, balance & speed. Through basic instruction, children continue to prepare for the game ahead.
Notes from the coach
This terms Mini Red course is 14 weeks (Half term 25th October) and is for all players aged 5 to 8 years from Beginner to Advanced. There is just one Red ball group to book and each child will be put in to groups according to age, ability and keeping friends together as best we can. Please email Gary at gjoates@sky.com with any friend requests, so they can be put together beforehand. Groups will have there own dedicated coach for the duration of the term. All players will learn the ABC's (Agility, Balance and Co-ordination) required for tennis, plus each week will work on a different shot using technical and tactical drills and fun games.
