VP is currently just a pay and play venue. This is because I am stopping my involvement and I'm not going for the tender after how this club has been treated over the last four years. Unfortunately WDC have made it impossible to continue. I am terminating my licence early so the last day for bookings on this site will be 21st November.
Booking Guide
All bookings require a registered account with the club for the primary booking contact.
- All player names must be registered on the booking with their status as member or guest.
- Everyone can book 7 days ahead at the moment as there's no membership.
- The usual rate of £6/hour is listed. If you are eligible for a concession price (playing with a junior or student) please join the free package listed on the membership page. Once you have completed this registration in this concession package the reduced pricing will appear. Please note that if you play without booking and paying first you will be charged double.
- If you're a member playing with a non member you will need to add them as a guest and pay £3. If there's 3 members and 1 non member it's £1.50. If you're a member playing a match and need two hours please email VPTennis@hotmail.com.
- Max 4 on a court.
- Booking starts on the hour, so 9-10am, 10-11am etc. If you start early or go over the hour by more than 5 minutes you will be charged for that extra hour.
- Free play times are also listed. This is limited to one hour/day for non members. Free play sessions do need to be booked beforehand, otherwise usual charges apply. If you want to play for two hours please email VPTennis@hotmail.com to organise payment for the second hour.
- Please note that if a booking is made 24hrs before a session and then you cancel that booking there's no refund available unless it's due to very bad weather.
- We do offer refunds if you've booked and it's then very bad weather. Please email VPTennis@hotmail.com to organise this. (If you have played for 30 minutes of the hour sorry no refund is offered.)
- Members will be charged £6/hr for cancelling with less than 24 hrs and for no shows.
- Floodlights are limited to Thursdays 7-9pm. Please book this two days ahead as they currently need to be turned on manually by a member or coach. We had hoped the resurface and automated floodlights would be completed by now. Sorry for the inconvenience but the LTA have pushed this back to 2023.
Sorry for such a list of rules but there's been a few challenges. We don't charge too much and a lot is down to honesty. We hope that this works well for everyone, rather than charging double and employing a receptionist. Please book all sessions, including the free sessions, so that we can prove to the LTA/WDC when and how these courts are used. Thank you!
