So in the first month of the Summer Season  Vic Ave has had quite a few successes in the leagues - starting with Vic Ave Ladies 2 against St. Leonards Ladies - with Sarah Blake in her debut appearance, she and Sarah H had 100% success - with Maggie and Sheila bringing home the final rubber - great result ladies.   Two days after the Mens one team had another victory over David Lloyd mens 1 - with Simon and Ben winning both rubbers and Mark and Martin securing the win. A week later the Ladies 1 rolled back the years with a win over East Dorset.  Great efforts by Lizzie Toop with a disclocated shoulder (she visited casualty later) and our youngest player Jasmine Shaw - Dawn and Jasmine took home a win against the first team and Lizzie and Ann 100% success - great victory overall.  There was a loss in the mens vets against Southbourne, who fielded an ex international but we secured some points so a great effort.  Mixed 2 next with a resounding victory securing all 4 rubbers, Dave and Dawn a convincing effort and Alan Cross with our new girl Sarah Blake also bringing home the bacon!  Ladies 2 suffered a loss but still bought back points against Ferndown on the hard courts - better luck next time ladies.  Mixed 1 took on Winton and came home with maximum points - however I have heard it was a hard fought match.  Ladies 1 secured another win - against Christchurch Ladies who only fielded one pair - just shows how harsh the league rules are if you give a walkover!  Finally this month Mens Vets secure a win against East Dorset what a way to end it well done Steve L, Nick, Dave B and Dave S
