WALTA Awards 2025

What a fantastic evening we had earlier this week, celebrating all things tennis in Warwickshire. The awards ceremony had over 100 people attend to receive various prizes and awards, from County Colours, County Closed Fair Play, to the Ron Kingsley Mills bursary and finally our prestigious WALTA Awards.

For the third year running we had an increase in nominations, up 39% on the previous year and our highest number recorded to date! It really does show how much there is to celebrate in Warwickshire. The Awards are about celebrating YOU and what YOU do to allow people to play the sport we all love.

Well done to all our winners, truly deserved. The county received a record number of nominations and that makes it extremely difficult to choose an overall winner, and if you didn’t walk away with the award it doesn’t take away from the excellent work you have done and the impact it has. The nominations we received were wonderful to read.

To anyone who nominated, thank you! You make our awards possible by taking the time to nominate.

To anyone who was nominated, thank you! You make tennis in Warwickshire what it is. Whether a volunteer helping to keep our venues operating, a coach training our future county team players, a school helping to get more children picking up a racket- we would not be the county we are without you. THANK YOU. The awards do not just celebrate Warwickshire Tennis, they celebrate the individuals that make tennis possible in Warwickshire.

The WALTA Awards take months of preparation, so one final thank you to everyone behind the scenes who worked so hard to put this event together.

Congratulations to all our worthy winners!
