No1 singles Tony King vs Paul Frence  (one of the Top players in the UK) was hard game, but Paul came though very strong to win 6-2               6-3

No2 singles Phil King vs Nigel Mann (another Top UK player). Again Nigel was just too strong for Phil losing 6-1             6-2

Our hope was Warwickshire strong pair of Alan Roberts and Mike Erskine, who had dropped only a few games all season vs Richard Budgett/Steve Baldwin. This proved to be a tough match for Warwickshire with Middlesex, lobbing accurately, causing Warwickshire to change their game plan.

The 1st set went to a tie break, which we lost 7-6

The 2nd set was also close and we won 7-5 (nail biting)

Down to a champion tie break, which we lost 10-5 after some important missed chances on both sides

Warwickshire – runner up and congratulations to Middlesex.

This team will stay together for 1 more year, so we may get another chance
