Csongor and Luca both had great battles, it was the battle of the big hitters. After 2 long 3 setter matches going on with Csongor and Luca, we won 1 and lost 1. Csongor just lost out, Luca managed to pull through.

We were now going into the doubles 4-2 down but ready to fight back.

Scongor had another big battle , fighting really hard , just coming out 2nd this time.

2-2

Sam and Luca both going on for their singles at 2-2. Sam struggled to start with on the courts after training outside in Spain compared to inside and with his opponent having an extra day on the surface. Sam put up a great fight, losing a very tight match. Luca was on fire and got off to a good start, closing the match in 2 sets.

Csongor & Denis together, Ferran & George, Luca & Sam.

Csongor and Denis had a good game but unfortunately came across strong opposition.

Ferran & George were cruising through and got off to a great 1 set and 5-2 lead. The other team then started playing more freely and got back to 5-5. After a close 2nd set we just missed out on the tie break. A match tie break to complete the set, Ferran & George gave it everything but unfortunately just missed out 11-9.

Luca & Sam won their doubles.

6th March 2022 v Suffolk

Going into day 3 knowing we were fighting for relegation after being so close yesterday was tough but the boys were ready to give it everything again.

George came in for the number 6 singles today and put up a great fight losing in 2 sets. Denis was solid again and pulled out another win.

1-1

Ferran and Csongor walked on court feeling confident after some great matches the previous 2 days. Ferran got off to a great start against another great junior a year younger that had been brought in today. Ferran was on fire, serving and volleying and won in 2 sets.

Csongor wasnt about to lose another singles match and mixed up the pace, with some great attacking and finishing the points off at the net. A great win to take us 3-1 up.

3-1 up

Sam and Luca both on court at the same time, could we win both singles to guarantee 3rd place. Both boys right to fight but still tired from the day before. Luca pulled out a convincing win taking us 4-1 up in rubbers.

Sam had a great battle struggling in the first set and losing it closely. Not letting this get to him he pulled out a 6-1 set win. An amazing 3rd set battle just losing out 6-4.
