US Open Tennis Championships -Mixed Doubles Final - Saturday 9th September 2023.

Dan coached the Winning pair - Hari Hariovaara (Finland) and Anna Danilina (Afghanistan), who beat No:1 Seeds, Austin Krijicek and Jessica Pegula - 6-3. 6-4.

Dan is touring coach for Hari and Warwickshire Player Lloyd Glasspool, who play Men's Doubles together.

So, when Hari met Anna, at the signing in desk, and they were both looking for a partner, they decided to team up and play Mixed Doubles together. They then asked Dan to be their Coach. After that great win, it was followed up by:

US Open Tennis Championships - Ladies Doubles Final- Sunday 10th September 2023.

Dan coached the Winning pair - Gabby Dowbrowski (Canada) and Erin Routliffe ,(New Zealand), who beat Laura Siegemund (Germany) and Vera Zvonereva (Russia) 7-6(9), 6-3.

Erin is a Soto Tennis Academy Access player and when she met Gabby at the signing in desk, and they were both looking for a partner for Ladies Doubles, they also decided to team up and asked Dan to coach them.

2 great wins for Dan and it might have been three if Gordan Reid, another Soto Tennis, Access Player, had beaten Alfie Hewett in the Wheelchair Mens Singles Final.

Ex Warwickshire County Player Vicki Kiernan (Stone) was meanwhile in Newcastle taking part in the Great North Run, Dan was supposed to run but was obviously detained in New York. She finished the 13 miles and was still smiling, and relaxed by watching the Ladies Final on TV. Dan's Mum Mary, has Altzeimers, and they wer running for Team Mary. They raised over £8000, so a successful weekend for all.
