Captains Report

On the 8th & 9th June 2024 Warwickshire u10s boys went to Boston to play in the North Nationals.

We started Saturday against East of Scotland. We got off to a 2-0 start then going 2-2 after all the singles. We then started to play Yorkshire in the singles again after the 4 singles we were 2-2.

Against East of Scotland we lost both the doubles and lost the tie 4-2.

Reaching 7:30pm we still had to play Yorkshire in the doubles with winning one and losing one we went to a shootout. Warwickshire winning the shootout putting us into a good chance in winning all on Sunday if the results went our way.

Sunday began with Warwickshire taking on West of Scotland. 2-2 again after the singles, we then went onto play Cambridgeshire in the singles. This time Warwickshire went 3-1 up.

With a bit of a break we then took on West of Scotland on in the doubles. Beating them 4-2 overall. It was then down to try and get over the finish line with the doubles against Cambridgeshire. Warwickshire losing both in the 3rd set tiebreaker we went to another Shootout. Warwickshire beating Cambridgeshire 10-5. With us all on the other side of the centre not knowing what was happening to the other results we all celebrated like we had won it. However Yorkshire taking East of Scotland to a shootout meant that the overall Winners were Yorkshire. With Warwickshire coming Second.

A big Thank you to Warwickshire LTA, Warwickshire Parents and All individual coaches of the players for making great competitors. We wish you all the best.
