Courts re-open!

Good news! The club is back open with restrictions in place.  Please see below, a letter to all members from our club Chairman.

Dear members,

In line with the latest government & LTA guidance, & with the agreement of Wem town council, we are planning to re-open Wem Tennis Club today, Wednesday 13th May, with certain restrictions in place. Our priority is the health & safety of members, while recognising the physical & mental health benefits of tennis.

Please read the latest LTA guidelines which can be found here: https://www.lta.org.uk/…/coronavirus-covid-19---latest-adv…/

If you decide to use the club, the following should be adhered to:

* You can play with one other person only. Therefore, only singles play is permitted. Doubles is not permitted.

* Only one person should enter the clubhouse to access the court key. The clubhouse should remain closed at all other times.

* Members must provide their own balls. Only one player should handle the balls. Alternatively, each individual may bring their own set of balls, clearly marked, & must only handle their own set of balls.

* It is hoped that some coaching will be able to resume shortly on an individual lesson only basis, under the clear guidance issued by inspire2coach, who will communicate further with members on their programme shortly.

If you have any questions regarding the above, please contact the Chair Andy Hawke at aphawke@hotmail.com, or if your query is regarding coaching, the club coach Harrison Gwilt on 07415 507425.

Kind regards

Andy Hawke (Chair)
