New Courts: Final Update

The day is upon us!

Our new courts are due to be finished tomorrow and following from a handover with the contractors our hard-working Committee members are going to make sure all the final steps are taken to prepare the courts for safe access to all of our members.

This means the courts will reopen to our members on Friday 17th July. Remember to familiarise yourself with our updated COVID-19 guidance here if you haven't already done so - courts can be used on a booking basis only to keep us all safe and well. Please note that to ensure time for transitions between members between each booking, you should book your slot 15 minutes BEFORE you wish to arrive and play and leave on time.

Unsure how to book the courts via ClubSpark and what you need to keep in mind while making a booking?  Not to worry, we have got you covered with this handy little guide we have created! You can also access this by using the link at the bottom of our Court Booking tab on the website.

We are beyond excited to be able to welcome you all back on the courts with us - please remember that we should all treat the new surfaces with the level of care and respect they deserve. It is our shared responsibility to make sure that they will last us a long time and provide many years of fun and fitness!

So, who has made this all possible?

The Fife Environment Trust have been particularly generous in supporting us and we could not have have achieved the court resurfacing and the additional work on the new pathway without them.

The Lawn Tennis Association have been generous with financial support and technical guidance on the court resurfacing. The input of Mike Kolacz, LTA Regional Development Manager, has been invaluable throughout.

We would also like to thank the Leng Charitable Trust, the Northwood Charitable Trust, the Walter Craig Charitable Trust, the Dundee Sports Dinner, the Aldi Scottish Sports Fund, and W. L. Gore (UK) and Associates. They have all kindly contributed to this ambitious project and supported our club's future.

We would also like to specially thank all our members - for your participation in the numerous raffles, prize draws and tea parties we have arranged, your purchasing of tea, cakes and BBQ sausages - and most of all - for your patience during the pandemic and the works being carried on the courts for the past few weeks.

It was so lovely to hear all the positive feedback from you as part of the survey we carried out a few weeks earlier and we would love to continue to keep this communication open so please contact us with any ideas or feedback you may have throughout the season.

Did you hear that our Summer Camps are good to go ahead?

Our Coaching Team have been working hard to make sure we can return to individual and group sessions safely to keep those serves and volleys in check. This will involve suitable social distancing and limited spaces - the clubhouse and facilities will be closed subject to LTA guidelines.

Have we got your interest yet? You can book your sessions by clicking here - hurry as the spaces will fill up quickly! And remember to give our Head Coach Jack Ganley a shout should you have any questions.

We are officially back in business - let all things tennis commence, starting in 1, 2, 3...
