Season 2023

Widnes begin the new year 2024 with a steady start in both Warrington, Cheshire and Liverpool Leagues. All teams are competing well, in particular the junior teams are showing their dominance in Cheshire. The ladies 1st team have won all their matches and the mens 1st team are undefeated and well placed to continue their dominance in the 2024 league. Feedback from all the players are they are enjoying the tennis and competion in the matches they have played.

Our holiday camps are extremely popular and involve tennis, football and lots of other sports and crafts as well.

Greetings and a warm welcome to Widnes Tennis Club. We are a club with a rich heritage, a welcoming community and a positive outlook for the future. Whatever your tennis needs are, our club has it covered!

Here at Widnes Tennis Club, we provide tennis for all ages and abilities with our constantly improving tennis programme and performance groups led by our LTA accredited Head Tennis Coach. We also partake in team tennis competitions at local, county and country level to meet our members’ aspirations.

WTC has a reputation for being a very welcoming club with an active tennis social programme and we are always looking for new members to enjoy our wonderful facilities.

The club facilities include three playdeck indoor courts, six all-weather outdoor courts, all of which have LTA competition-approved floodlighting. All the courts can be reserved for private sessions via our online booking system. To help members improve their fitness, there is a fully fitted gym available on-site. Finally, our Clubhouse also features ‘Café Deuce’ which overlooks the indoor tennis courts. It is a great place for our members to relax and is the perfect spot for all our social events and activities!

So, whether you are a complete beginner or a family who wants to get active and have a great social life, or a rusty racket owner who wants inter-club competition, or even a rated player who wants to raise your level, we can cater to your needs at Widnes Tennis Club.
