On Saturday 30th September we welcome DIRE STRAITS: UK to our club.
Tickets are on sale NOW but are limited.

In case you are wondering who they are, here is a bit of info.

In 1995 Mark Knopfler decided to call time on one of the greatest bands the UK has ever produced and Dire Straits were no more!

During their 18 year existence, despite having only 4 members at the outset, no fewer than 20 musicians either recorded or toured as part of the band. Many have since left the music industry altogether while others have gone on to enjoy success with other bands.

Now, 22 years later, that unique sound is back in the form of
DIRE STRAITS: UK. The six members are all now touring with other big-name bands so rarely get to re-unite but when they do, the
result is well worth waiting for!

Between them, they have toured the World many times over, have headlined Glastonbury ….more than once, have played all the World’s biggest arenas including Wembley, The O2 Arena and the
Royal Albert Hall, have many Gold disks, and have appeared with a multitude of major bands, including Madness, Status Quo, Kylie, Sir Paul McCartney….the list just goes on and on!

Taking over Mark Knopfler’s role is the incredible Dave Knight
providing both Lead Guitar and Vocals, backed up by Sax
player Steve Turner, Rick Benbow on Keyboards, Alistair Begg on Bass, Alec Heald on Drums and  the unbelievable talent of Lachlan Horne on Guitar, who joined the band earlier this year.

Over the years there have been, and still are, many unsuccessful
attempts by “tribute bands” to emulate the sound that made Dire Straits arguably one of the World’s greatest live bands.

If you want to witness that unique sound once more there can only be one choice:

DIRE STRAITS: UK –  here on Saturday 30th September at 7: 00 pm.

And please remember, the reason we are doing this is to raise funds for the urgently needed repairs to the clubhouse. We can only get this work done if we have your support. Please don't just leave it to everyone else!
