What a brilliant day for the club yesterday. We held our 2023 Open Day and it was a great success despite some late rain.

We had well over 100 people sign up to the free tennis sessions, 79 registered with the club and we added 72 members to our already healthy 345. We also had 3 pre open day sign ups who could not make it on the day.

Congratulations to everyone at the club as we smash through the 400-barrier making a total membership at 420. Target set for 2024…. 500?

Massive thank you to all of you fabulous volunteers. We made £101 on the tombola so thanks to everyone who donated the prizes and ran the raffle. We made another £14 on the games and again big thank you to all who ran the games. The Bouncy Castle cost us £110 so just about broke even on the day thanks to a tremendous effort from everyone involved.

So many people going the extra mile and you all know who you are so can’t thank you enough.

We had so many lovely comments from people attending and wanting to be part of our wonderful tennis club. Great job by our wonderful Widnes Tennis Club Committee whose efforts made the day a great success.
