Widnes Tennis Club would just like to make everyone aware that Mark Hunter will be leaving his role as Head of Performance Tennis at WTC over the next couple of weeks to pursue other opportunities and work a little closer to where he now lives.

On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Mark for his commitment, professionalism and his massive contribution to the success of the performance tennis at WTC over the last three years. Everyone at the club wishes him every success as he moves onto a new chapter in his life.

Due to his and Lauren's work over the past 3 years the performance program has improved significantly and Mark has left a lasting footprint at Widnes TC which is ours now to build on. We have a fantastic tennis coaching team with Bez and Lauren which is now being supported by Matt Cunliffe, Jess and a few other upcoming juniors so the future is bright.

As far as the club is concerned, we will be looking to take on a new performance coach as soon as possible, although we do want to make sure it is the right person and the right fit for the club to carry on the good work and continue to push the performance side of the programme.
