After assessing the latest situation with the Wigmore committee and taking the latest advice available to us, we have suspended the group coaching programme.
Due to current guidelines we can only continue coaching private lessons (max 2 players) so we can keep to the strict social-distancing guidelines. If there are 2 players in a lesson they must also be on opposite ends of the court (unless part of the same household).
Wigmore LTC has announced further measures which we are enforcing with immediate effect.
These extra measures include the clubhouse being CLOSED. You will not be able enter the clubhouse unless let in by a coach. The clubhouse may only be used to go to the toilet and wash your hands.
These are in addition to our measures that have already been introduced by Joe & Scott Tennis
- No handshakes
- No high fives (no physical contact at this time)
- Only coaches will handle tennis equipment
- Avoid touching your face after touching tennis balls
- Anyone showing symptoms of cold or flu are asked to stay home and self-isolate
- All players must wash hands before coming on, and after leaving the tennis court
- We recommend sanitizing your racket grip before and after practice
- Should your coach ask you to wash your hands during practice please comply!
These are unprecedented times and we ask all our parents and players to be sensible with their hygiene and stay away if they are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms.
It is only a matter of time until further measures and restrictions are put in place. We will keep you updated with the latest developments.
