What can you expect?
At the Orange stage, children learn the rules & scoring to play the game from serve & return. Coaches will support children to grow their motor skills (orientation, hand-eye coordination, running & moving) to play in a dynamic environment. At the Orange stage children will increase proficiency, problem-solving skills & learn sportsmanship.
Notes from the coach
Woking LTCC will be continuing the Junior Tennis Programme for the Spring Term, starting Tuesday 4th January – Ending Saturday 2nd April (13 weeks). In line with the current LTA guidelines, the programme will operate as follows: • Groups will be run in accordance with LTA ratios. • Drop off and pick up will take place from the side gate (just outside the Clubhouse), however parents are now permitted to wait in the Clubhouse or patio area. • Parents will be able to watch the seventh & fifteenth session and receive feedback from the coaches on their child’s tennis development (either face to face or via progress report cards). • All sessions will continue through the half term breaks. • Players will be offered a make-up session if the Club has to cancel the session for any reason (extremely poor weather etc.) • Details of make-up session/s will be communicated separately.
