Dear Member,
I am pleased to be able to let you know that you can now enter Woldingham tennis club’s Annual Tennis Tournament.
The finals day this year will be on Sunday 18th September and subject to sufficient interest the following events will be:
Adult Events – 12pm onwards
Men's singles. Ladies singles. Men's doubles. Ladies doubles. Mixed doubles. Men's vets' singles. Men's vets' doubles. Ladies vets' singles. Ladies vets' doubles – the vet's events are 50 and over.
Adult scoring format is below:
All adult matches will be best of three sets with the final set (at one set all) being a full set unless both/all players agree to play a match tie break instead at the beginning of their match.
Junior Events – Morning
U/8 singles (Red). U/9 singles (orange). U/10 singles (Green). U/11, U/12, U/14, U/16 (yellow) singles – all the junior age groups will have a girl and a boy singles event except the Red and Orange ball which will be a fun round robin event on the finals day itself and is only open to 7-9 years.
Junior scoring format is below:
- Red and orange: one match tie break to 10 points with 2 points clear
-10U: one FAST 4 set
-11U to 18U: best of 2 FAST 4 sets with a match tiebreak at one set all

- your name
- your contact details a (email and mobile number)
- the list of events that you would like to enter
- if playing doubles (adults) the name of your chosen partner
If you would like to play doubles, but do not have a partner, please let me know, and we see if we can link you with someone.
Please email Celia to confirm your entry by the deadline 31st May and write ‘Woldingham’ in the subject line so that play can start in June and that we can ensure that everyone has enough time to play their knockout matches ahead of the finals on Sunday 18th September.
