We held a fun, social tournament at the club on Saturday in memory of Wendy Haines.  We were able to celebrate her in the sunshine with plenty of tennis alongside some great refreshments, a raffle and a quiz all raising money for both Alzheimer's Society and Macmillan Cancer Support.  

Some of Wendy's family joined us.  We're so grateful for the bench which they have generously donated to the club complete with its inscription capturing what Wendy meant to us all.

We'll enjoy sitting on Wendy's bench for many years to come, remembering her infectious enthusiasm for tennis and for Woodthorpe Tennis Club.
