Well we played our first ever league match at Denby Dale last night (lovely setting). Suffice to say that we didn’t win, and we were all a bit rusty, although we were playing against seasoned “pros”, playing in several teams and on an alien sandy, low bounce, surface! More importantly though is that we all enjoyed it, will be back for more next week (at home), have made a start on our league adventure, and realise that we need to practice! A special thanks to Lisette, Simon, Bernadette and yours truly (Peter), for enabling us to fulfil the fixture at very short notice.
