The Armley Tennis Club is committed to protecting the privacy of the users of its website at clubspark.lta.org.uk/armleyTennisClub.

This privacy policy explains how The Armley Tennis Club (hereafter the club) obtains, manages, uses and shares your data. All data is held securely and in accordance with current Data Protection legislation.

Where we get your data

Directly from you or someone acting on your behalf. If you are a member of the club a record is created for you on our database using information that you supply when you join or renew your membership. When you book a court your transaction is recorded and your participation in matches for the club is recorded by the club and the relevant league.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Types of data we hold

The information stored and processed by the club may include:

  • Biographical (including name, titles, gender, date of birth)
  • Contact details (including address, email address, phone numbers) 
  • Your relationships (including spouse/partner, in case of family membership)
  • Communications sent to you by the club or received from you
  • We do not store credit or debit card numbers.
  • Events you have attended (matches, meetings, coaching sessions)

Use of your data

We use your data to communicate with you via post, email and phone about the club and occasionally other messages that we think you would be interested in as a tennis player. 

To try and make sure we are sending you communications that are relevant and of interest 

We will not publish your contact details.

Our legal basis for holding and using your data for the majority of these activities is that they are in our legitimate interests. Additionally, some activities are carried out with your consent, because there is a legal obligation or because they are tasks carried out in the public interest.

Your data is held in a secure database with controls in place to limit who has access to it.

We will never sell your data to other organisations.

Your data is checked and updated when your membership is renewed or when you notify us of changes.

You may update your communication preferences and opt-out of receiving some or all communications from us at any time.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you. If you would like a copy of the information we hold please contact us using the details above.

We always aim to comply with these requests, if for any reason we are unable to we will let you know the reason why.
