If you've missed the club ballot we used to run, you're not alone. Here are some hints for getting tickets in the centralized ballot next year:

• Add your family members to your family membership on the club web site so you all have a chance of winning in the ballot. Over 16s can get Wimbledon tickets. (If you don't do this when you sign up for the year, we have to do it manually, please email name, DOB and email addresses to the club).
• Your club membership gives you rights to sign up to LTA advantage Play+ tier for free, with Ashwell as your venue. This enables you to enter the ballot. https://www.lta.org.uk/account-details/
• There's a process called "opting in" to the Wimbledon ballot. You need to do that each year, you should get an email reminder.
• If you win in the ballot, you get the ability to buy 2 tickets. You can choose the day and court. In theory the odds of getting a ticket are similar to the previous process, and anecdotally lots of club members have been offered tickets this year.
• You can transfer one ticket to a friend but have to use the other yourself. You download an app, login and present your phone with your ticket at the gate. They can check that the name on the ticket matches your ID. 
• Some people like the big courts, but personally I like court 2 in the first week: open air, small, good players, and you get to wonder around the smaller courts at a good price without the queue.
