East of Scotland - Coronavirus Update

Update from the East of Scotland Committee.

During this very difficult time, we understand and appreciate the difficulties individuals, clubs, coaches and businesses are experiencing.

We have received a directive from our governing body on how to advise our members, and as such the below will now come into enforcement until 20 April 2020.

The advice is now cancellation of the following:

  • All junior sessions
  • All team practice sessions
  • Club Open Days
  • All County activity for Juniors, Seniors, Vets

Please follow the advice of the government recommendations with regards to social distancing if you do decide to have a knock up with your friends/club mates of keeping up to 2m distance, wash your hands before/after you go on court, no handshake at the end! Please continue to play Tennis if you can and support your club, it is good for your mental health to keep fit during a bleak period for society.

All advice is available on https://www.lta.org.uk/about-us/tennis-news/news-and-opinion/general-news/2020/march/coronavirus-covid-19---latest-advice/

The VMH Solicitors East of Scotland League season will obviously suffer in some shape or form and it is highly unlikely we will see any play in April. However, as the landscape is changing daily, we will make decisions as and when we have the appropriate information.

Stay safe and we will keep you updated.
