Sunday 10 July saw the Junior Club Championships across four age groups completed on a brilliant summers day. Some fantastic tennis was enjoyed by players, parents and grandparents with support from club and family members helping to score and manage the busy programme. Tournament organiser Dawn Stocker floated between the matches to keep record of scores and to finally analyse the results to work out the eventual winners.

Coach Ben Bates started the event with a warm up for the players Reuben Circuit and Noah Larkins played a demonstration tie break match whilst five parents/grandparent volunteers learnt the scoring system so that they could then go on and umpire some of the matches. Eva Stocker took charge of the 4-6 year old age group, whilst Jay Stocker helped Ben organise the 12 & under matches. Ben also managed the 18 & Under draw.

As usual, all tournaments at Blofield end with Tea and this was no exception - a rare feast (including quite a few bananas from an anonymous donor) was enjoyed by all.
