Club Member, David Parvin died on 5th June after a short illness.
Vice-Chair, Jonathan Dearth said:
"I introduced David to the club 2 or 3 years ago when I met him as we walked our dogs at St. Augustine's Abbey.
He was a decent player and he finished 2nd our inaugural Doubles Tennis League and regularly played in the Mixed Doubles team.
He had some horribly `tough to play` backspin forehand shots. David had a dry sense of humour which I liked a lot and when partnering him, he would always have a little moan about the opposition not passing the balls back to us when we were serving. He was also tall and tricky to lob.
I think David really enjoyed playing regular tennis again over the last few years at our club."
A service celebrating his life will take place at 2pm on Tuesday 16th July at Memoria Faversham, ME13 9HY
