DID YOU KNOW? Carlton have a sprinkler system underneath their courts. With around a century of playing on shale courts, part of its maintenance requires them being watered.

So after decades of having various methods of keeping the courts watered, a sprinkler system was installed underneath the courts in 1988.

Now, after the refurbishment of courts 1 & 2 last year, the sprinkler system now only serves for courts 3 & 4 that currently remain shale.
