Save the Date – Professional Tennis Players coming to Hednesford Park
On the Saturday 14th August 1pm-6pm, Bright Ideas for Tennis are back! (Covid allowing - following LTA and park guidelines at the time)
Danny Sapsford and another Professional player will lead the sessions at Hednesford Park with support from Tennis Club coaches. Sapsford previously reached the 3rd round of Wimbledon losing to Pete Sampras and represented Great Britain in the Davis Cup. Many of you will remember that Danny led a fantastic coaching day with Jocelyn Rae at Cheslyn Hay in 2018 and has kindly supported us in 24hr marathon Challenge and Ash Taylor’s Skydive. We are so pleased he has agreed to come again this time at Hednesford Park!
There will be mini tennis, teens, improver adults and experienced adults coaching clinics in addition to Touch Tennis tournaments, exhibition match and Speed Gun Serve challenge. There will be events off court too.
This is for everyone to get involved. If anyone would like to support in anyway such as assisting on the day, event sponsorship, raffle prizes we would love you to get in touch.
FREE Online Sessions every Monday - Special tennis treasure hunt for juniors this week
We have had lots of fun in the first month of Tennis sessions online. These are every MONDAY for Juniors 7-17 years from 6:30-7:15pm and Adults from 7:30-8:15pm. Sessions involve tennis footwork skills, mini circuit and fun challenges to help you get ready to go back on court! This is for everyone...all invited! This week will be a special tennis treasure hunt!
