A great morning of tennis and general good fun was had by the 20 junior members and
their families at our inaugural Cleeve junior tournament. The juniors played some lovely
tennis and played with spirit whilst showing beautiful manners and friendship to all
involved. Huge thanks to John Tate our junior coach for organising the event and to the
adult members who helped with umpiring, providing food and drink etc.
The results were as follows:-
Under 8 champions – Klara T and Marta M – both only recently joined!
Under 12 champions – Christopher S and James T
Over 12 Champions – Rowan and Milo P
Everyone received a medal and the Champions received a small trophy. There is more info
and pictures on our website. Please keep the trophies safe as we will need them back next
year !! Well done to all involved. Hope you all get to continue to enjoy your tennis
throughout the summer holidays. If anyone has any ideas on other ways to improve the
enjoyment for our junior members, please let us know.
