What can you expect?

At the Yellow stage, children are now playing on a full size court with the balls the professionals use. Children will continue to explore different game styles and start to find their own. They will evolve through well-rounded motor skills development whilst improving their physical capacities. By this stage, children will be tennis fans for life!

Notes from the coach

Mixed Class for Young Improvers 4pm . This course is aimed at 10-14 year olds that can play tennis but need to continue developing their technique, ideally they will have spent several terms in our SBD Classes. We will work on technique via a series of progressions linked to some fun games and matchplay. IMPORTANT NOTE: As a prerequisite to enrolling onto this class children will need to be able to rally inside the service box with a yellow tennis ball and they will also need to be able to throw and catch to a high standard to participate in the progressions. The players will further develop the skills they have learned in class with a King Of The Court style matchplay where they use what they have been taught by playing competitive points in a fun, safe environment. Finally, players joining this class are required start playing in our amazing internal Box League - joining is a prerequisite for their development.
