Pat's achievement highlights:

Pat joined Dunfermline Tennis Club in 1964 and has been on the committee since 1969.  Her current role of Secretary and Treasurer has been a role she has held since 1990.  She has previously been Match Secretary (1981-84) and President (1985-87).

Since 1979 Pat has been the referee of Dunfermline Junior Open an annual event held over a week which usually sees over 100 juniors play at the club. She was also referee of the Junior East Championships and Junior Scottish Championships for several years in the 1990s.

She is qualified coach and would use her coaching expertise on a Saturday morning at the junior sessions and to organise the club coaching programme in the 1990s until Alan Russell took over in 2010.

As part of her role at Dunfermline she represented the club on the East of Scotland committee 1983-86 and 1995-2002 being President from 1995-97.

Pat accompanied both junior and senior East squads to county events for 14 years.

Pat represented East of Scotland on the Tennis Scotland Council from 1995. She became President of Tennis Scotland from 2003-2005.  She was a Director of Tennis Scotland for 20 years retiring in 2014.  For 7 years (2001-2007) Pat represented Tennis Scotland on the Lawn Tennis Association Council.

Since 1982, and through her involvement in the Tennis Club she became involved with Dunfermline and West Fife Sports Council and was twice the Chair. She is currently Vice Chair. Pat represented the Sports Council on the Scottish Association of Sports Councils for six years up to 2003.

Pat says the Community Tennis Partnership set up in the 2000s is one thing she is particularly proud of - LTA, Fife Council, schools and local sports council (funded by LTA) all worked together to get more local people playing tennis.

Pat’s other major involvement relates to Lacrosse where she served on the Lacrosse Scotland committee from 1969-2003 including spells as President, Treasurer, Finance Director and Development Chair.
