The Sip, Serve and Sausages US Open event was the best so far, according to the feedback. It definitely helped to have such a lovely warm evening but the members taking part must take a lot of credit.

Many of them answered the call to dress up to support the US Open which was taking place that weekend. There were quite a few stars and stripes on show, but by far the best, and winner of the fancy dress costume, was The Statue of Liberty aka Carmen Sanchez.

The S of L (Carmen) even managed to play tennis clutching The Declaration of Independence in her left hand, although when the game of Champions got really competitive it was ditched.

Despite the cook setting off the fire alarm three times during the cooking of burgers and sausages, it all came right in the end.
