COURT DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
We are making good progress with the court & lighting development and have come to an agreement with Esher Church School for the project to commence in February and run through to Easter 2017. The club side of the car park will be cordoned off to parking for this period to allow access and storing of materials. There are still some ongoing issues with floodlighting that require us to get an amendment to planning approval but this should not be a problem as the new lighting array has similar light spillage to the original plan.
The funding of this development is almost all in place however we still need to raise several thousand pounds to ensure we get the best possible facilities. We will be running a number of funding events over the winter and would greatly appreciate your support of these events.
We are still hopeful that another planning approval (separate and distinct from our own approved planning) will be given for the telecoms mast and this will give us the funding to lay artificial clay over the tarmac courts. There is still a lot of hard work to do but we are hope that by May 2017 we will have the new courts and lighting fully operational.

SUMMER TEAM ROUNDUP
In the Woking league, we ran 1 Men’s, 1 Ladies’ and 1 Mixed team, many thanks to Janie McCulloch, Richard Jordan and Andrew Mendelson for running the teams and to everyone who played.
The Men’s team played in Division 3 and ended up 3rd out of 6, not far behind the teams in 1st and 2nd place. The Ladies’ team played in Division 3A and came a very good second. The Mixed team played in Division 3 as well and came 3rd out of 6. An excellent outcome for all teams in the Woking League with some very enjoyable matches.
In the Surrey League, we ran 1 Men’s and 1 Ladies’ team. Again, many thanks to the Captains, Janie McCulloch and Richard Crowther, and to everyone who played. For the Ladies’, we had 3 drawn matches and 2 wins, so some very close matches. For the Men’s, we had 1 win, 3 draws and 1 loss, so again some very close tennis matches.
In the winter season 2016-17, we are again running 1 Men’s and 1 Ladies’ team in the Surrey League and 2 Men’s, 1 Ladies’ and 2 Mixed teams in the Woking League. During the winter months, the matches are played over a 6 month time period for the WL so we can run more teams. Here’s looking forward to some good matches.
