I am an LTA accredited level 3 Head Coach with over 30 years of playing experience in the top leagues in Leeds, Perth (Australia) and Liverpool. I have a long history of playing a range of sports at a high level, including semi-professional rugby. I have always had a passion for sport and believe tennis is the most fantastic game because of its dynamic and challenging yet sociable nature that involves people of all ages and ability levels.
As part of my role as a Head Coach, I am the Director of a Community Interest Company. This organisation has a focus on tennis for underprivileged people and on coaching more broadly in the fields of sport and health. We hope to broaden the access to coaching to enable us all to have healthier lifestyles.
Prior to being a Head Coach, I have a teaching background from 10 years in Merseyside High Schools. Before that, I worked in the private sector.
I organise all group sessions and I am available for private lessons. I really enjoy seeing the development of people and their skills: I like all tennis coaching sessions to be engaging, informative, energetic and appropriately developmental. I look forward to helping many tennis players across all ages and ability levels progress at Formby LTC over the coming years.
