Glossop Tennis Club

Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Peak District Glossop Tennis Club has been in existence for over 140 years and now has 2 carpeted courts with floodlights and 2 all-weather hard courts, 1 mini court and  practice wall, and a recently renovated clubhouse.

We welcome new members of all ages and abilities. We provide a host of Tennis activities for you to join in throughout the year including:  Doubles Box league, Singles Ladder, social tennis sessions and 3 teams in the South West Manchester Tennis League if you wish to play competitively: or you may prefer just to come down and play for fun with other members. Whatever your preference then our tennis club has space for you.

Throughout the year in association with our coaching team we organise in-house tournaments, round robin events and fun days for the juniors.

Social tennis sessions are currently 7pm to 10pm on Monday (ladies night), Tuesday (mens night) and Friday (all) evenings, as well as 10.00am - 12.00 noon on Wednesday mornings. While these sessions attract members of all playing ability you will always be made to feel welcome: just turn up and play. We provide free balls and lighting for all these social events.

We have a Whatsapp group where members can arrange games with other members whenever they want so you will always be able to find someone to play with at any time.

Finally, we have a comprehensive coaching programme for all ages which has grown in strength and popularity in recent years. For more details click the coaching link.

We also have a table tennis box league between members which has proved increasingly popular.
