The Junior Players of the Month are a hardworking pair of brothers, Josh and Alex Harris. What a fantastic summer of tennis they have had competing.
Alex is the older of the pair. He won the Lincolnshire County Closed U16 singles and doubles titles. He then came out on top in the GTC Club Championships, winning the men's singles and doubles titles with brother Josh.
Josh has also had a highly successful summer. He won Grantham’s Road to Wimbledon competition and came out on top at the county event. Josh then advanced to the world-famous Wimbledon courts. He battled hard in the singles and doubles events, reaching the County Boys' Doubles Final.
Josh had similar success in his junior County Closed events. He won the U16 doubles with Alex, the U14 doubles and finished as runner-up in the U14 singles. In the GTC Club Championships, he won the men’s doubles with brother Alex.
Outside of the training and match court, both brothers have been helping with the club coaching programme by working with Mini Red (U8) players and assisting with various adult groups. They are both setting a high standard in representing the club, and we wish them many more successful years on and off the court!
