The Clubhouse
Hopefully you will have noticed that our clubhouse has undergone a major transformation in recent months.
After a major tidy-up, new furniture was purchased and the whole place given a fresh coat of paint. However, the crowning glory must be the beautifully simple but stylish mural created by the talented local muralist Clarissa Parish. Thank you Clarissa!
We would love to see the club become more of a social venue, and the improvements to the clubhouse are part of that process. We see it being somewhere that families can come and where friends can meet up for a game of tennis followed by a relaxed chat over a cup of tea.
The Courts
Following on from the refurbishment of the clubhouse, we are about to embark on renovating the court surface - a process of cleaning, filling and repainting. This is likely to happen in mid-May, so the courts will be unavailable for a couple of weeks during that time. We will let you know more details nearer the time.
We are also actively pursuing the potential for putting in a third court on what was the old bowls court. A separate sub-committee has been set up to look at our options here. If you would be interested in finding out more and maybe getting involved in this development project, we'd love to hear from you. bond.rachel@btinternet.com.
